Job Summary

The Continuous Improvement Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and coordination of the site's CI initiative. Works under immediate supervision, relies on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job. ***Pay rate range $18-20 an hour***

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish and build the plant's Continuous Improvement Team
  • Works closely with safety coordinator
  • Evaluate operations to identify areas of waste and opportunities for improvement
  • Maintain and improve organizational performance
  • Must be highly competent with variety of skills (Leadership, Problem Solving)
  • Ensures all new hires have access to the Employee Self Service system
  • Teach, coach, and mentor all levels of employees in Continuous Improvement and manufacturing principles
  • Completes special projects as needed
  • Performs other duties as required


Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate.
  • Minimum one to three years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge and proficiency in the use of computer and business-related software, including Microsoft applications excel, word, and Outlook
  • Working knowledge of 5s, Kanban, standardized workflow, value stream mapping, Kaizen, and visual environment/factory
