    THE JOB:

    As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience by serving guests beverage items within the designated dining outlet. By understanding the guests' unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

    STARTING RATE: $7.10 per hour

    • Engage with guests by smiling and hearing their story as you properly complete beverage transactions using your knowledge of our beverage menu items to assist them.
    • Provide strong beverage knowledge to our guests including liquor brands, beers, wines, non-alcoholic drinks, and mixed drinks.
    • Ensure guest safety by following proper beverage handling and sanitation procedures.
    • Own the guest experience in any situation by using problem solving skills to WOW the guest.

    PRIMARY PURPOSE:

    As a Cocktail Server, you will be responsible for setting the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

    PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Take order, and serve food and drinks efficiently and accurately in work area as applicable
    • Place order, and garnish and serve cocktails to guests
    • Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non-alcoholic selections available
    • Knowledge of hotel services, features, local attractions and activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
    • Perform opening and closing duties based upon shift assignment to include fold/stack cocktail napkins, stock swizzle sticks, straws, matches, line cocktail trays, stock glassware, restock supply cabinet, inspect cleanliness and condition of assigned station and service areas; rectify any deficiencies
    • Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise, refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft
    • Perform other job-related duties as requested

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of beverages on menu, including characteristics of wine and champagne by the glass, major wines, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, terminology, and garnishes
    • Highly motivated and energetic personality
    • Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility
    • Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
    • Able to lead and mentor a team

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

    PREFERRED:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Six (6) months experience as a cocktail and/or food server in a similar environment
    • Experience working in a similar resort setting
