VP, Enterprise Analytics

The strategic ambition of the Data & Analytics (D&A) function is to build, embed and mature a data-driven culture across the entire company resulting in a world-class Data & Analytics company.

The ideal candidate for the VP, Enterprise Analytics will be forward thinking and have a strong background in analytics, data science, and business intelligence. They will steer the direction of our cross-domain analytics function and drive the strategic use of data across the entire organization. This role will facilitate the efficient delivery and uplift of analytics capabilities by providing centralized strategic oversight and decentralized agility in analytics across different business units. The successful candidate will be adept at balancing the needs of a diverse organization while ensuring that data insights are effectively leveraged to drive decision-making and innovation.

About the Role

In this opportunity as VP, Enterprise Analytics, you will:

  • Build and manage a high-caliber analytics team capable of tackling complex data challenges to deliver meaningful insights.

  • Promote the use of analytics in all decision-making processes and provide strategic direction to cross functional analytics teams as they perform bespoke analytics that meet their unique businesses needs while aligning with the overall data & analytics strategy.

  • Facilitate effective collaboration and knowledge sharing amongst the analytics community that spans all areas of TR to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive synergies, innovation and foster a data-driven culture.

  • Support a governance structure that ensures data consistency and quality across all data domains while allowing for tailored analytics solutions within each business unit.

  • Collaborate with the VP Data Architecture & Governance to set enterprise-wide analytics standards, policies, and best practices.

  • Coach and develop analytics leaders and talent across TR.

  • Drive the adoption of advanced analytics and data science practices across the organization, including predictive modeling and machine learning to provide competitive edge.

  • Assess cutting-edge analytics tools and platforms that can integrate and enhance analytical capabilities across the organization.

  • Engage with executive leadership to report on analytics progress, align on priorities, and demonstrate the value added by the analytics function.

  • Present analytical findings and recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and analytics best practices to maintain a competitive advantage.

  • Ensure D&A is a diverse and inclusive organization.

  • Meet Financial Plan targets; drive productivity improvements (e.g. cost/unit reductions) and ensure resources are allocated effectively to support key initiatives.


This role will partner across the TR Data & Analytics organization to:

  • Communicate, and ensure adoption of Data & Model Policies, Standards and Guidelines

  • Implement data steward and analytics training & certifications (with Data Governance, Analytics Platform and TR Labs)

About You

You're a fit for the role of VP, Enterprise Analytics if your background includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in analytics model development and business intelligence, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior data & analytics leadership position.

  • Prior experience working in a large, geographically dispersed organization.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and mentoring high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication skills, with a knack for presenting data and insights in a way that is accessible and compelling to various audiences including presenting strategy and operational updates to senior executives

  • A strategic thinker with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive large-scale change across a global organization.

  • Expertise in analytics tools, platforms, and methodologies, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.

  • Experience in developing and implementing enterprise analytics strategies leveraging big data ecosystems, data visualization tools, and advanced analytical techniques.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and understanding of modern web/SaaS technologies and systems
