RF/MMW Electrical Engineer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Be
responsible for the design, analysis, layout, test, and release of
printed circuit boards embedded in RF/MMW IMAs.
- Design
of circuits for DC filtering, voltage conversion, and power conditioning
for MMICs.
- Design both analog and embedded digital circuits for control of MMICs.
- Creating
schematic circuit simulations and EM simulations where appropriate.
- Analyze analog and digital circuits using tools such as LTspice, Matlab, TINA, QUCS, Multisim, Python, ICAP/4 SPICE, Scilab, Excel, etc.
- Generating
layouts and assembly drawings.
- Be
responsible for all design activities related to product development
activities from kickoff through engineering evaluations.
- Work
with our MMIC design, electromagnetic design, mechanical design, assembly,
and test teams to develop new products as well as production methods.
- Initiate prototype
builds and manage product characterization. You will design
evaluation boards and characterization fixtures, then direct or
perform measurements.
- Generating
design reports, progress reports, test reports, datasheets and bill of
materials.
- Organizing
design reviews.
- Cooperating
with Project Manager in order to maintain an up-to-date project plan and
schedule.
- Work
with our Product Engineering group to transfer the product to production.
- Keeping
up to date with latest technologies (semiconductor, assembly, packaging,
tools).
- Maintaining passion
for the latest in circuit board technologies and electronics in general.
- Customer
support (sampling and application notes).

Job Qualifications:
- B.S.
in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, M.S. preferred.
- Electronics
and PCB enthusiast
- Familiarity
with SPICE simulation tools.
- Familiarity
with embedded digital design toolchains for microcontrollers and FPGA's
(such as Atmel, Xilinx)
- Familiarity
with RF/MMW IMA design techniques.
- Familiarity
with RF simulation tools such as MWO or ADS (ADS preferred).
- Familiarity
with EM simulation tools (such as HFSS).
- Familiarity
with PCB layout tools such as Altium, PADS, or KiCAD
- Familiarity
with RF measurement techniques for small-signal and large-signal
characterization of amplifiers: bench calibration, S-parameters, 1-tone
and 2-tone power sweep measurements, pulsed measurements.
- Good
communication, organization and documentation skills.
- Strong Excel,
Word, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong
interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships.
- Ability
to work in fast pace environment.
- Willingness to
travel occasionally
- Fluent
in spoken and written English.
