In this role,Lead Wait Staff,will:

• Oversee Front of House Wait Staff to ensure resident satisfaction.
• Ensure all dining venues are bussed, cleaned and reset during/after service.
• Assist with the preparation and display of food in all dining venues.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of meetings and special events.
• Prepare salads, desserts and condiments for special functions, under direction of a supervisor.
• Conduct pre-meal meetings with staff to review menus, safety messages, general announcements and other information as needed.
• Review wait staff daily and weekly cleaning assignments to ensure tasks are complete and done correctly. Responsible for checking out all staff at the end of the night and closing the kitchen/dining venues.
• Provide training, coaching and feedback to wait staff as needed.
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of all areas throughout the department for both the front and back of the house.
• Works as a liaison between upper management and staff to help ensure a positive and productive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school education or equivalent.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• One year institutional food service experience. Willingness to work and interact with older adults.
• Ability to organize tasks and work independently.
