Community Healthlink (CHL) recognizes the power of a diverse community and seeks applications from individuals with varied experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds.Community Healthlink (CHL) is looking for a full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Case Manager/Victim Advocate at our Worcester location.

Victim Services provides therapeutic services, advocacy, and outreach for children, teens, and non-offending family members who have witnessed violence, sexual assault, or other crimes. The program is comprised of four components: The After Homicide Program, The Children's Recovery Network, The Teen Safety and Support Network, and The Victim Advocacy Project. The Victim Services Program provides advocacy, crisis intervention, individual, family, and group therapy, bereavement groups, and support groups. Services are for family members and loved ones of homicide-including vehicular homicide, children, and non-offending family members who have witnessed domestic violence and/or community violence, adolescent victims of dating violence, sexual assault, or gang violence-including specialized services for LGBT youth, and children and their non-offending family members that have been sexually abused-including adult victims of child sexual abuse.

  • Provide case management, education, and advocacy services to clients of the Victim Services Program.

  • Primarily working with adult survivors of domestic violence who are looking for short-term case management services.

  • Planning and participation in community outreach and events.

  • Court accompaniment and guidance through legal process.

  • Obtain referrals and assist in formation of groups.

  • Provide support groups to clients of the Victim Services Program.

  • Maintain clinical records and complete paperwork in a timely manner.

  • Work to provide consultation to agency staff, clients, and other community agencies.

  • Provide training to interns, staff, and other community agencies.

  • Refer clients for services and advocate for clients needs.

  • Maintain competencies and complete other related duties as assigned, such as representing the program at community meetings or functions.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Grade C04: Case Manager II: Requires a Bachelor or Master's degree; preferably in the field of psychology or human services

  • Proficiency in case management to clients of Victim Service Program
  • Candidate must be bilingual English/Spanish

  • Knowledge of legal protocol and court proceedings
  • Proficiency in clinical outreach, design, and implementation
  • Competence in working with diverse populations, culture, class, and developmental issues
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with consumers, peers, and other professionals
  • Provide consultation and training
  • Knowledge of Domestic Violence, abuse, trauma and community agencies that may assist clients
  • Demonstrate computer competency skills
