Schedule Details:

Holidays - One Major Summer Holiday, Holidays - One Major Winter Holiday, On Call - Required, Sunday through Saturday, Weekends (Saturday and Sunday), Weekends - One Full Weekend a Month

Scheduled Hours:

7:00p-5:30p or 5:00p-3:30a

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Possesses and demonstrates working knowledge of wound care, process, protocols and plan of care.
2. Functions effectively in all planned and unplanned situations.
3. Ability to work within a team to facilitate patient care
4. Delegates effectively.
5. Coordinates exchange of information between staff, physicians and administration.

7. Utilizes the correct format for all documentation.
8. Reports significant patient information in a timely manner.
9. Uses effective communication techniques based on the level of understanding.
10. Assists in monitoring activities related to improvement initiatives.
11. Effectively performs Nursing tasks utilizing policy and procedures of both Harrington and Healogics
12. Devises/ supports new techniques and procedures to improve efficiency and quality of patient care, utilizing lean theory/ processes.
13. Provides efficient and effective care with the guidance of the physician during the clinic sessions, attends the clinics where scheduled and is dependable. Able to manage a number of patients at the same time with high energy and organization.
14. Pursues opportunities to participate in new learning experiences, ie: Clinical ladders
15. Promotes cooperation and understanding and acts as a teacher and role model.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
2. Registered Nurse with current license, Wound Care certification Preferred.

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. One or two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:
1. Medical Surgical, home health, or wound care experience also preferred.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.
