Summary:

BUDD Psychiatric Day treatmentis designed to meet the mental health and social needs of the mild developmentally disabled person. The program challenges clients to learn about themselves, learn new skills, and achieve their goals. Treatment consists of educational groups, process groups, peer support, individual sessions, and medication visits with our highly skilled psychiatrist.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct clinical treatment to adults, children, and adolescents as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings, crisis/emergency assessment and intervention, treatment planning and assessment, individual, group, couple and family therapy.

  • Participates in interdisciplinary diagnostic treatment and planning conferences as needed.

  • Consults with area schools, doctors, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services and case management as needed.

  • Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, and tolerance toward all employees, patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Master's degree program in a clinical course of study in behavioral health (social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, counseling or related field) that meet the academic requirements for independent licensure in psychology, social work, marriage and family therapy, or mental health counseling in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
