The Workday Applications Specialist will be a close collaborator with the rest of the Workday Production Support team, helping them with defect resolution and the ongoing optimization and innovation based around the Workday platform. This role will focus on Workday Reporting Architecture, Workday reporting leadership, Release Management, and optimization & leadership of the Workday production support model including ongoing optimization of Service Now ticketing system.

Has full technical knowledge and thorough understanding of business application of the project. Also has duties of instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of other software developers on an assigned development team.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Assists in scheduling and coordinating projects. May be involved in design phase of project as well.
  • Works with customers and technical staff to resolve problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Acts as team leader on projects.
  • Participates in development of software user manuals.
  • Protects the confidentiality of information within areas of own position responsibilities by preventing unauthorized release, both verbally and/or in writing.
  • Promotes a continuous quality improvement effort to enhance the services provided to patients, their families, physicians and members of the UMMHC staff by demonstrating positive attitudes and actions through a display of courtesy, congeniality, cooperation, initiatives, sensitivity and professionalism.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent is required.

Experience/Skills:

Required:

  • Over 8 years and up to and including 10 years' experience.
  • Must be able to work off hours and participate in on-call rotation.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
