Who You Are?

• Passionate for supporting the academic mission. We are educators for the UMass Chan Medical School and our own anesthesia residents (32) and critical care fellows.
• Seeking a complex, rewarding and busy clinical practice amongst a collaborative multi-disciplinary team

Excellent patient care is the common goal that anchors our mission.

• We have an ACGME accredited residency in anesthesiology and fellowship in critical care medicine. We have over 10 subspecialty teams.
• The department spans over six locations, including outpatient to tertiary care at the Medical Center, with 40 operating rooms and 12+ Non-OR anesthetizing sites.
• Our team of 69+ Anesthesiologists, 70 Nurse Anesthetists and 32 Residents provide patient care with our anesthesia care team model at more than 60 anesthesiology sites each morning.
• Our Maternity Center at the Medical Center Campus cares for high-risk obstetric patients with a volume of over 4,000 deliveries a year.
