UMass Memorial Health, the clinical partner of the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School, is seeking a BE/BC general Anesthesiologist to join our Ambulatory Anesthesia Team, which provides clinical services in three separate locations: The Hahnemann Campus in Worcester, a recently built state of the art 40,000 square foot Ambulatory Surgical Care center in Shrewsbury in joint partnership with Shields Health Care Group, and Marlborough Hospital in Marlborough, all in Massachusetts.

The UMass Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine is a Department of 160clinical providers delivering state of the art perioperative care across our diverse clinical platform which has grown to include 7 clinical sites: Three hospitals, two Ambulatory Surgery Centers, and two GI centers. UMass Anesthesia provides the full spectrum of services from ambulatory surgery, to general-, and specialized surgical care of the highest complexity, including Surgical Critical Care. Our Residency Program is one of the strongest mid-sized programs in the region; in addition, we offer training in Critical Care Medicine. Our new recruits are supported by a leadership team with a strong commitment to lasting Faculty Development, and a collegial team structure fostering clinical excellence. • Required 1 weekday call per week, 1 weekend call per month
• Built in post call days to ensure work life balance
• Orthopedic surgery heavy practice, regional anesthesia skills required
• Ability to generate additional income with incentivized and voluntary additional call
• Friendly, collaborative community hospital-based work environment
• Case mix: Ortho, gen surg, urology, plastics, GI
• No Pedi or OB required
• Eligible candidates must have a strong background in Regional Anesthesia, be BE/BC in Anesthesiology, and meet licensure requirements for the MA Board of Registration in Medicine
