Schedule Details:

Monday through Friday, Weekends - Every Fourth Weekend

Scheduled Hours:

M-F 8-4:30, weekend rotation one Sat/Sun every 5-6 weeks

GENERAL SUMMARY:

We love working in a learning environment and have a great deal of longevity with our agency.The Home Health Aide provides personal care to patients who are in need ofthiscare in their homes. Home Health Aides consider the needs of the patient and the importance of maintaining their dignity and quality of life. The Home Health Aides provide care to patients from young adult to geriatric. The Home Health Aides partner with our Home Health Registered Nurses to give thepersonalcare that they need. Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, this position performs a variety of patient care activities to meet the personal needs and comfort of patients.

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

The ability to read and speak clearly in English.

Ability to listen and give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Ability to consistently beresponsible, compassionate, patient, emotionally stable, and cheerful with patients, caregivers and other professionals.

Ability to be tactful, honest, and respectful of patients and family members in private homes.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.


EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 6 months experience providing care as a certified home health aide in a home-based setting preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ETC:

Must possess valid driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle with insurance and valid safety inspection.

Certification as a Home Health Aide required.
