ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to work in our Manchester, CT office on traffic and transportation design projects with an impressive team of skilled engineers.

As part of our Traffic Liaison team, the Senior Traffic Engineer will manage multiple CTDOT Traffic projects and the respective design consultants, maintain project schedules utilizing Microsoft Project, prepare quantity estimates and cost estimates, assist in technical review of design submissions, and maintain project documentation.

In addition, you will assist with proposal development and be responsible for client communications and serve as the liaison between CTDOT, regulatory agencies, design consultants and project stakeholders. In this role you will be responsible for working within established budgets and timelines, as well as maintaining the high standards of work we produce through our Quality Assurance/Quality Control process.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in transportation engineering
  • Typically requires at least 8 years of experience with traffic signal, traffic safety and transportation related projects
  • Connecticut P.E. is preferred (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and Synchro is preferred; AutoCAD and MicroStation a plus
  • Experience with CTDOT project design requirements and plan preparation guidelines required; experience in other New England states is a plus!
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • This is a full-time position with the potential for remote work.
