Job Description

The Returned Material Authorization (RMA) Coordinator is customer focused, able to follow and develop processes and willing to take on additional duties which can include trouble shooting and repair. This position will interface with the company's customer service team and the plant departments as needed to coordinate the RMA returns. The RMA Coordinator may work directly with customers to address their needs and expectations. This position is responsible for receiving customer product returns and helping to performing post return analysis and follow-up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES (necessary competencies):

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Interface with Customer Service to directly authorize returns from the customer.
  • Handle the day-to-day RMA Receiving activities (utilizing SAP and the RMA tracking database)
  • Perform basic analysis on RMA returns
  • Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to all customers, in accordance with customer expectations and requirements
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Operations, Customer Service / Technical Support, Quality, Engineering, and Logistics as required
  • Prepare RMA tracking reports showing process efficiency
  • Assist in trouble shooting as required.
  • Perform basic inspection tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be team oriented and have the ability to effectively interact with all support functions and customers (if needed). In addition, good written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail are a must. A strong determination and commitment to managing problems through to resolution is also a key attribute of this role.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CREDENTIALS:

High School education or equivalent, preferred

2 year of manufacturing and/or customer service experience

Understanding and adherence to Support / Operations Best Practices is a must

Must work well in a fast-paced environment with dynamic requirements and priorities

Being adept with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel and Outlook is necessary

Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is a plus

Return or Warranty administration experience for a hardware vendor would be useful

Basic understanding of hand measurement gages and technics

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Employee may occasionally be required to lift/ move up to 25 lbs. and stand up to 50% of the time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, color and peripheral vision.
