As a Licensed Clinician at Berkshire, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive research-based treatment philosophies in the field of mental and behavioral health. Clinicians are part of a multi-disciplinary team, who work closely and provide clinical services to youth experiencing trauma, mental health and behavioral challenges. The focus of the Clinician position is to implement change by acting as a role model and building therapeutic relationships while helping youth progress towards lifelong goals.

Requirements

How Can You Help

  • Experience in providing therapy/treatment services for at-risk youth and families in a residential setting, preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with youth and families in the forms of individual, family and group therapy
  • Capability with clinical assessment, client care planning and effective treatment implementation for youth and families
  • Comfortable to form engaging and therapeutic relationships with youth and families
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, not limited to interpersonal, listening and consulting
  • Utilize effective and assertive communication, problem-solving, crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills
  • Effective organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to handle and have knowledge of sensitive and confidential information with extreme discretion, including demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance and regulations
  • Adaptable to work independently, as well as in a team environment, within a fast paced, changing culture
  • Capable to working with a culturally and economically diverse population

Essential Job Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker - Required
  • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience with relevant populations such as at-risk, mentally or highly behavioral youth (internships, practicum, field placements, mentoring, volunteering, etc.)
  • Varicella Vaccine required OR titers indicating varicella immunity OR documentation from a healthcare provider verifying previous infection.
  • MMR (Measles Mumps & Rubella vaccine required OR titers indicating immunity to all three diseases.
  • Tdap (Tetanus-diptheria-pertussis) vaccine required.
  • Influenza vaccine required, one dose annually during flu season.
  • Physical (Medical Exam) required.
  • Must be able to work 9AM-5PM during new hire orientation to complete TCI(Therapeutic Crisis Intervention), CPR and Sanctuary training. Must maintain TCI and CPR certification.
  • Required to be 21 years or older.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license per Agency guidelines. Travel required.
  • Working knowledge and utilization of MS Office Suites and Electronic Medical/Health RecordSystem
  • Required to have client facing interaction.
  • Flexible availability including night, weekends and holidays
