We are seeking an outstanding individual for a fully funded postdoctoral position in the laboratories of Dale Greiner, Ph.D. and Michael Brehm, Ph.D. Our laboratories are developing a number of cutting-edge humanized mouse models to study type 1 diabetes.
Our research interests include; 1) effector functions of human autoreactive T cells, 2) interactions between autoreactive T cells and human pancreatic beta cells and 3) identifying immune therapeutics that suppress the destruction of human beta cells by autoreactive T cells. To address these interests, we use a number of approaches including immunological, cellular, molecular and genomic. In addition to learning multidisciplinary approaches to study human type 1 diabetes, the candidate will have opportunities for career development in both academic and private sectors.
