Job Description

Postdoctoral Associate in the Ceol lab.

A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Craig Ceol in the Program in Molecular Medicine and Department of Molecular, Cell and Cancer Biology at the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.  Our laboratory uses the zebrafish and mammalian cultured cells to study genes and biochemical mechanisms that regulate melanocyte regeneration and melanoma progression.  We utilize a range of genomic techniques to identify and study candidate genes and pathways.  We also complement these studies with unbiased genetic approaches designed to discover novel developmental and tumorigenic mechanisms.

Qualifications:

  • We are seeking a candidate who is motivated, enjoys creative thinking and brings enthusiasm to research.
  • Candidates must have a recent Ph.D in the biological sciences. Tissue culture experience is preferred but not required.

To Apply:

Applicants should submit the following materials by email to craig.ceol@umassmed.edu:  a letter describing current research activities and your interest in this position, a CV (including publications), and contact information for three references, one of which should be your Ph.D. advisor.
